Foster a Paws Xaló Dog

Picutre of a very young puppy rescued by Paws Xaló, who needed patient foster care after rescue

The dogs we take into our care have hugely varied backgrounds and ages, and not every dog is ready to thrive in a shelter environment from day one.

Because of this, being able to provide temporary foster care for shelter dogs is absolutely critical to executing our mission to never turn away a dog in need of help.

Fostering is one of the most rewarding things you can do for a dog in need.

Foster carers might find themselves helping a dog come out of its shell and learn to socialise; caring for a dog as it overcomes a medical issue; or even helping a young puppy to take its first steps forward exploring the world! In short, you will be readying them to fully enjoy the wonderful lives that lie ahead of them once they are adopted.
