Looking to the Future: Paws4Ever
As Paws Xaló approaches our seventh birthday our founder, Jayne Webb, has begun to think about how Paws can have even more impact:
“One day I would like to create a home for elderly dogs. Somewhere that feels like a proper home, so if their owner were to pass they wouldn’t find themselves in a shelter alone and frightened, unable to understand why there is no comfy sofa."
This vision resonated so strongly with Lee Harker, one of our volunteers, that on 1 August 2026 he will take on the epic challenge of running 4500km across six countries, aiming to raise €150,000 euros and make this home - now known as Paws4ever - a reality.
The Paws Effect
Just look at these wonderful Paws Xaló dogs, happy and comfortable in their forever homes.
This is what our work is all about!!
Abby is a small, young Terrier mix with a gentle and loving nature. She was rescued together with her puppies from a home where she was used for breeding. Because of her difficult past, Abby was very frightened when she first arrived and found it hard to trust people.
Over time, however, Abby has slowly come out of her shell. While she still has a lot to learn about life as a cherished family dog, her true personality is beginning to shine. We have discovered that she loves to play, enjoys affection, and is happiest when she is receiving cuddles from the people she trusts.
Abby is looking for a patient and caring home that will continue to help her build confidence and show her how wonderful life can be.
