Paws Xaló Rescue Shelter

The Paws Xaló rescue shelter, opened in 2022, is located in peaceful surroundings in the Jalón Valley just outside Xaló/Jalón village.

At the shelter we provide safe and comfortable accommodation for our dogs while they await their forever homes. Our wonderful group of volunteers make sure that while the dogs are in our care they get love, care, attention, fun & games, and of course regular walks in the surrounding countryside!

Thanks to your kind donations (as well as to the brilliant support we receive from the Ajuntament de Xaló) we are able to continue to expand the shelter, allowing us to rescue more dogs every year.

In 2025 we bought and built new pens to house a large number of small dogs that we recently needed to take in over a short space of time. And now, in 2026, we are building five new permanent kennels to host the dogs currently living in these temporary pens.

Please note that visits to our shelter are by prior appointment only. If you want to visit the shelter and meet the dogs please contact us by dropping us a message or email, or drop into our shop and chat to one of our volunteers.
