Running 4 Paws: How YOU Can Help!

On 1 August 2026 Lee Harker will set off on a 4,500km running challenge across Europe to raise money for the Paws4ever project.

Here we give a run-down of exactly how you can help support the Running 4 Paws adventure, and the Paws4ever project!

Lee Harker is a Paws volunteer and passionate dog lover who this summer will be undertaking an incredible fundraising challenge, named Running 4 Paws.

On 1 August 2026 he will set off to run 4,500km in 126 days.

Running an astonishing 42km every single day he will depart from Skagen in northern Denmark, finishing in Tarifa in southern Spain. Along the way he will cross six countries: Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain.

He is doing this to raise money for PAWS Xaló, and in particular the new Paws4ever project.

This project will focus on giving elderly dogs a loving, safe, and comfortable place to spend their final years. Whether they’ve been abandoned, surrendered, or just need a home in their last chapter, they’ll get the care and love they deserve.

So how exactly can you support Lee on this adventure, and in doing so support the Paws4ever project?

Donate to the Cause!

  • You can make donations directly to the cause by visiting Lee’s GoFundMe Page.

  • You can drop cash donations into the Paws Xaló Charity Shop, noting to the staff that the donation is for Lee’s running challenge.

  • Remember if you are inspired that even saving loose change in a pot can add up - every Euro counts, and we promise that every Euro will be well-spent in helping aging dogs!

Follow along and spread the word

  • Following Lee’s Running 4 Paws Facebook Page, to get regular updates on his run.

  • Follow the Paws Xaló Facebook Page, where we will also provide regular updates on the run and on the Paws4ever project.

  • Bookmark the Paws4ever or Latest News pages on the Paws Xaló website for periodic summary updates.

  • Tell every dog-lover you know all about this project, and share these stories and updates far and wide!

Remember that any support you can give - whether it’s a donation, sharing this page to other potential supporters or donors, or just cheering Lee on along the way - will mean the world to Lee, and even more to the dogs who will benefit.

So remember to visit Lee’s Facebook Page for updates, and his GoFundMe Page to give a donation!
